Wild Night Out at YHA Truleigh Hill
This gorgeous spot in the South Downs National Park is the perfect setting for an adventure. Enjoy bushcraft and archery adventures and storytelling around the campfire.
OVERVIEW
The campsite is situated on the beautiful South Downs way with magnificent views across the English Channel as well as the surrounding countryside.
There’s spots for pitching your own tent. Also the bell tents and land pods are ideal for families (or big kids who like a little more comfort) fully kitted out with beds, bedding and bean bags for relaxing.
SoSussex will provide bushcraft and archery sessions on site before the evening storytelling sessions around the campfire. All adventures are free of charge for those booked to camp.
The storytelling round the campfire is for both little and big adventurers, with Julian Burnell (see below)
SPEAKERS
Julian Burnell is a storyteller with a particular interest in how history turns into legend.
He’ll be telling stories from Sussex and around the world, and (weather permitting) looking at some of the mythology of the stars and night sky.
At last year’s Wild Night Out, Julian was warm and funny (don’t let the photo mislead you!) and spun wonderful magical tales for all ages
