I am looking for some teammates In March 2026, for a small, low-impact expedition to explore and create the first map of Socotra’s coastal ecosystems — coral reefs, seagrass beds, and mangroves — using kayaks, snorkelling, drones, and environmental DNA sampling. Working in partnership with local islanders, we’ll combine simple exploration with emerging marine science to uncover what lives beneath the surface.
I'm looking for 2-3 skilled, curious, and adaptable teammates to join — particularly those with backgrounds or interests in marine ecology, conservation, field logistics, or media. Who’ll need to be comfortable working off-grid and contributing to a shared scientific and storytelling mission.
This is a self-funded research expedition: each participant covers their own travel and field costs, with the understanding that all findings, media, and impact will be shared openly and in collaboration with local partners. Estimated costs of £2500-3000 per person incl flights from Abu Dhabi, in country logistics & food/camping equipment.
