Difficulty: moderate (due to planning)
Time required: overnight
Location: seaside

Kit list:
1. Sleeping bag and bivvy
2. Warm clothes
3. Food and water

What to consider:
Finding a suitable beach isn't as easy as it sounds. It is important to know the times of high tide and have easy access to an escape route. Check weather conditions before planning to camp. Also, check that the beach isn't infested with sand fleas! Once all this is covered, just enjoy being lulled to sleep by the sound of waves and woken by an alarm of seabirds.

Why not also try...
Add some extra adventure to your trip by cycling to the beach and cooking your meal on a campfire. Try some stargazing, too - beaches are great places to do this!

Safety tips:
Make sure that you check the details of the tides. Also tell responsible people where you are going and when you expect to be back.
