WildBounds have announced the launch of a new initiative designed to promote engagement in outdoor adventure through film-making: Mountain Bound. This two month competition will begin taking submissions on Monday 2nd April and will close on Friday 1st June.
The competition requests submissions from amateur film-makers on one topic: mountains. Whether entrants choose to focus on hiking, skiing, running, biking or any number of outdoor adventure pursuits is up to their discretion. Each submission can be up to five minutes in length and the three winning submissions will then be chosen by a panel of judges, including outdoor adventure experts, film-makers and select representatives from WildBounds partner brands.
Mountain Bound is a collaborative campaign orchestrated by WildBounds and supported by three partner brands: Tentsile, Jago and Burnt Custard. Together, they have contributed a number of prizes for first, second and third place submissions with a total value of over £1000. The prizes are as follows:
- 1st place: Jago Mark II
- 2nd place: Tentsile Una
- 3rd place: Burnt Custard Baselayer Set
In addition to these main prizes, the first 10 submissions will receive a pair of Burnt Custard sunglasses, and the top 10 submissions - to be sent to the judging panel once submissions close - will each receive a Jago logger cap. The winning submissions will be announced on Friday 8th June.
WildBounds are encouraging submissions from all walks of life, and Mountain Bound is not restricted to athletes or adventurers. From amatuer film-makers and media students to intrepid everyday adventurers, the competition is open to everyone with a passion for the outdoors and mountains, and all submissions will be featured on WildBounds’ YouTube channel and social media feeds.
