Hello,
My name is Jon and I am looking for one or more people to join me on a rowing/paddling trip in the Canadian Arctic with a launch date of June 2024 (est. based on the opening of sea ice). I do not have a finalized route, other than launching from Tuktoyaktuk in the Northwest Territories. I chose Tuktoyaktuk due to its accessibility via the Inuvik-Tuktoyaktuk Highway.
My overall plans for the trip remain fairly open, and I am interested in anything from a long boating trip to a multi-month expedition.
A little about me:
I simply like getting out to explore and enjoy what the wilderness has to offer. I have kayaking/canoeing/boating experience, as well as applicable training from my time in the US Coast Guard. I am currently building an Angus Rowcruiser to take on this trip.
