The Adventure Fund

Minimum grants of £100 provided by Sidetracked magazine to fund an aspect of your expedition. Winners are expected to contribute an article to the magazine within 2 months of their return. For more information see here

National Geographic Storytelling Grants

Grants of up to $30,000 (~£24,000) toward project costs of photographers, film-makers, journalists, cartographers and data visualisers. For more information, see here

The Kerouac Project

Writer residences open to international writers in the house in which Jack Kerouac wrote Dharma Bums. For more information, see here

Somerset Maugham Trust Fund

Grants of about £2,500 for writers under the age of 35 to enrich their writing through travel. You must be a UK citizen to qualify for this fund. For more information, click here

World Nomads Travel Writing Scholarship
