The Best Adventure Grants for Young People

Are you a young person with a craving for adventure? Or a parent with a child who might be eligible? Teacher? Youth worker? Coach? Spread the word about these awesome grants that will pay for adventures for young people. Many grants have application 'windows' so if a particular fund is not open right now, put the date in your diary for later in the year.

The Winston Churchill Memorial Trust

The youth category awards grants of up to £6,000 to fun cross-cultural learning for those aged 18-25. For more information see here

Vivian Fuchs Youth Award

£500 offered through the Captain Scott society for 11-19 year old teenagers embarking on an expedition. For more information click here.

Young Explorers' Trust Grants

Four grants available for young people aged nineteen and under to go on YET approved overseas expeditions. For more information see here

National Geographic Early Career Grants

Up to $5,000 (USD) to assist someone leading their first project. For more information see here

Lord Mayor’s 800th Anniversary Trust Grants

Up to £1,000 for a young person to go on an expedition. For more information see here

Ferguson Trust

Hundreds of £300 gap-year grants awarded each year for students travelling with a recognised organisation. For more information see here.

Adventure Trust for Girls

Financial assistance for girls between 10 and 20 and living or attending school within 8 miles of Exmouth. For more information see here

The RDC Foundation

Recently set up to help young people through recreational and leisure time activities. Grants of up to £1000 for provision of relevant equipment, and to individuals who contribute to life-changing adventurous activities. For more information, see here.
