First-Ascent Expedition
A non-commercial subsidised exploration expedition is being run to a little explored range in Kyrgyzstan.
The following are the expedition’s objectives:
Primary Objectives
• Achieve first-ascents of unclimbed mountains (4,000ers and 5,000ers), and;
• Identify further first-ascent objectives and practicalities for subsequent expeditions.
Secondary Objectives
• Identify potential cave entrances for subsequent expeditions, and;
• Identify potential rivers for kayaking first descents for subsequent expeditions.
We are looking for an enthusiastic alpinist to be part of an eight person team, with the following traits:
• Medical expertise
• AD grade climber, and;
• Assist with research, report writing and presentations.
The rest of team is now in place and we will be having our first training/team/planning weekend on the 3rd and 4th September.
Expedition Dates: August 2017 (3 - 4 weeks).
Expedition Cost: Circa £1500 (to cover flights, food, in-country transport, insurance, permits and group equipment).
