After years of trekking and indoor climbing I moved it up a notch and started mountaineering and rock climbing a couple of years ago. Now I'm learning to ice climb which is awesome! Issue is, although its been fine getting belay partners at the climbing wall I haven't found many London based people to get into the mountains to practice winter skills such as ice climbing over long weekends e.g. getting up to Scotland or over to France.
Even the standard courses require two people per guide to make it cost effective:(Would be great to meet other London people who are intermediate winter climbers or beginners who want to push the grade to organise trips/guides etc.Let me know if keen and we can meet up at the wall/ pub to discuss!
