I am looking for volunteers to help to plan, prepare and deliver paddle sports training and expeditions for Air Cadets from the South West of England. As the Adventure Training Officer for Devon Somerset Wing ATC, I am responsible for delivering core AT activities to over 1000 cadets and staff across Devon Somerset, including Hiking, Rock Climbing and Paddle sports. I have access to 12 Kayaks, under my direct control and access to various other facilities nationwide. Icurrently have very limited capability in terms of qualified coaches. I am therefore looking to recruit and appoint a volunteer, preferably a BCU level 3 coach or above, who can work with me as Wing Paddle Sports Technical Officer, to help me to develop this activity within our area. My objectives are to be able to run BCU * training for cadets and staff and to deliver DoE expeditions in the UK and Europe. I do have access to heavily subsidised BCUtraining and assessment courses.
