Join EC on a night-time paddle to a Christmas winter wonderland in London. From our meeting point at Limehouse Basin well kayak through the quiet waterways of East London and tree-lined canals to a winter woodland hidden in a historic London Park. Youll be greeted with mulled wine and mince pies on your arrival before getting dinner and drinks in the park. Therell be a Christmas market, Fairground Rides, Apres Ski style bar, Hot Cider Bar and much more to get you in the festive spirit. Bring along a Santa hat to keep your ears warm and dress in your best Christmas jumpers there will be a Christmas surprise for the best dressed paddler. If you've never canoed before that's fine, this adventure is suitable for everyone over 18yrs old. For those who joined us on our brilliant night kayak in September, this adventure will follow a different route so you will have new territory to explore The Plan Meet under the railway arches in Limehouse Basin at 6.30pm. This is just round the corner from Limehouse and iIts easiest to arrive by train as Limehouse station is very close. From here well pick up our kayaks for the group and paddle off up the canal. Well finish our trip at the Christmas market where we can have dinner and some drinks whilst our boats are transported back to base. The paddle will take approximately 2 hours. There are a number of rail and tube stations a short walk from the park from where you can travel home (approx 20 mins walk or shared taxi). Who's coming? If you've never come on an EC Adventure before, they're informal, friendly and great fun. We generally have singles, couples and small sets of friends coming along, from complete beginners to adventure professionals - what we all share is a love for adventure. Ages tend to range between mid 20s and mid 40s but anyone over 18years old and young at heart is welcome What to wear Dress for conditions on the day (warm and splash-proof clothing is good) and bring waterproof jackets and trousers in case of poor weather (we will be able to lend you some if you tell us in advance). Wear trainers or raft shoes that you do not mind getting a little wet.
