The Welsh 3000s Challenge

Join a TeamBelinda KirkComment

The Welsh 3000s is a challenge to stand on top of all 15 mountains over 3000ft in Wales within the space of 24 hours, without using any form of transport.

The length is about 24 miles, but the walks to the start point and down from the finish point can take it to over 30 miles in total. I'm tackling the Welsh 3000s on Saturday 22nd June (after bivvying on Snowdon on Friday night) and am seeking fellow adventure junkies to join me on this crazy challenge! Contact me using the 'Send a Message' button above or directly at jon.s.maiden at gmail.com if you are interested in joining me. Please note, I am not a mountain leader and cannot be responsible for anyone else's safety.

I am therefore hoping to be joined by experienced hill walkers who can maintain a good pace, have a good head for heights (needed for Crib Goch) and can support with navigation where necessary. This challenge will be extremely tough, and is a big step up from the Three Peaks Challenge. This challenge will be one of 10 Challenges 4 Cancer I'm undertaking in 2013-14. See here for more details. I look forward to hearing from you and maybe seeing you in the mountains next weekend!
