WILD NIGHT OUT

The night of adventure is back #WildNightOut2024. People across the UK will be coming together to have adventures outdoors, big and small. We’d love you to join us on 6th July 2024.

Spending time on adventures is empowering, brings people together and is fun. #WildNightOut2024 is a dedicated date in the diary for us all to get adventurous under the cover of darkness. You are welcome to join pre-arranged events or plan your own. Everyone is welcome.

Wild Night Out is an annual invitation to push yourself to do something adventurous, maybe try something new and bring someone else along with you, giving those who might not normally take the plunge a chance to spend more time adventuring. Since Wild Night Out began, more than 8,000 people have participated, raising over £75,000 for conservation and youth charities. This year Wild Night Out is being run by Explorers Connect and the Adventure Queens and sponsored by Ellis Brigham Mountain Sports

To get your imagination going, we’ve gathered together some ideas, stories, and how-to guides to help you design the very best Wild Night Out for you.

WILD NIGHT OUT: STORIES

WILD NIGHT OUT: HOW-TO GUIDES

HOW IT STARTED

Wild Night Out was started by explorer Belinda Kirk in 2016 to encourage others to live more adventurously. After 20 years of taking people of all ages into the wilderness, she understands first-hand the positive impact that adventure can have on people's lives. Held each summer since 2016 the night of adventure has encouraged 8,000 people to get outside and has raised more than £75,000 for charity.

Plenty of kids (and big kids) camp in the garden

@OllyDavy walked 20miles along the Ridgeway through the night

Some like to book a lesson and learn a new outdoor skill. Here Katy had her first kayak lesson. And Jen & Craig did their first skydive

Will, Penny, Marcus & Neil paddled from Bristol to London & raised over £1000 for Wild Night Out in 2017

@SarahOuten found a bench

Colin, Caroline, Tanja & Rich went for a hike

There was lots of wild camping

Adventurer @AnnaMcnuff went for a hike

A cycling adventure with the Stone family

Oliver & Olivia went for a walk in the fields

Jono & his stag-do went wild on a raft raising £90 for Wild Night Out in 2016
