Yorkshire 3 Peaks PLUS+
Friday 19th - Monday 22nd April 2019
Hike the famous Yorkshire 3 Peaks over two days, with a long weekend in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. We’ll also have time to explore the most iconic parts of the Yorkshire Dales, including spectacular Malham Cove and Gordale Scar. Hosted by explorer & EC’s founder Belinda Kirk.
Conquer the magnificent Yorkshire 3 Peaks in a leisurely fashion, with plenty of time to enjoy all the best scenery that Yorkshire has to offer- through the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Your cosy lodge accommodation is in prime position to get access to the 3 peaks (Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen-y-Ghent) and nearby are the stunning waterfalls of Ingleton. A short drive away are the famous Malham Cove and Gordale Scar. This weekend you’ll have the choice of two full days guided hiking, or one day hiking and half a day canyoning in a local gorge…
EC adventures are informal, friendly and great fun! They're made up of singles, couples and small sets of friends with ages typically ranging from mid 20s to mid 40s but anyone over 18 years old and young at heart is welcome. Whether it's your first time exploring the outdoors or you're an adventure professional, EC adventures are a great way to meet like-minded people in a safe, welcoming and fun environment.
On your first night you’ll arrive at your accommodation in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park from 7pm on Friday evening. Your EC host Belinda will welcome you. You’ll spend the evening getting to know each other and preparing for your weekend of adventure. On Saturday and Sunday, after hot breakfasts you’ll hike out from the door to spend the day exploring with your guide. You’ll head up and over the Yorkshire 3 Peaks of Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen-y-Ghent, stopping for lunch en route. When you get back to the lodge, you’ll get a tasty home-cooked dinner and can spend the evening relaxing in the lounge or head down to the pub for a nightcap. For those interested, there is also an option to go canyoning down a local river. Walking routes will be weather and group dependent but you’ll be taken to spots with the best views and the most spectacular features. On Monday, after another cooked breakfast, you’ll have the rest of the day to explore the National Park or head home. Belinda will be able to advise on what there is to do nearby.
