Powering the Adventure Revolution

Our fabulous Adventure Team organise regular hiking, wild swimming, camping and biking adventures in and around our main city hubs (currently London, Manchester and Bristol) with other members of the community for the EC community. We call these 'microadventures' and they're absolutely FREE to EC CLUB Members. You can find upcoming microadventures below but you will need to confirm your attendance using Facebook Events for local communities.

BRISTOL - Cycle, Camp & Swim Adventure

Saturday 7th - Sunday 8th April, 2018

Join Dave and Debbie for an epic weekend adventure that includes cycling, camping and swimming in some truly beautiful locations. Or if that sounds like too much for you how about just join us for the camp and/or swim?!

We'll meet on the morning of Saturday 7th April and jump on a train to a super secret location with our bikes before cycling to one of our favorite local wild swimming spots. Here we'll set up camp, enjoy good company and hopefully some beautiful skies. We'll rise first thing with the sun and brave the nippy waters and maybe even give the rope swing a go! Then we can dry off, pack up and cycle back to Bristol with big smiles, happy memories and maybe even some new friends!

MANCHESTER - The Peak District's Kinder Downfall

Sunday 8th April, 2018
Find out more and confirm your attendance using Facebook Events

In 1932 a group of walkers from Manchester trespassed 'en masse' across Kinder Scout to secure access rights to open country for everyone. We'll be retracing their footsteps on this eight mile walk from the famous Bowden Bridge Car Park, up past Kinder Reservoir and on to the magnificent Kinder Downfall (where the waterfall often appears to go backwards!), on to Kinder Low and back down to Hayfield where we'll find a local pub!

The walk will take around 5-6 hours and requires an average level of fitness to tackle the uphill stretch up on to the plateau. Walking boots and good waterproofs are ideal but if you don't have these, trainers with good grip, a warm fleece and rain coat should get you by unless the weather is really bad.

IMPORTANT! EC CLUB microadventures are organised by members of the EC Adventure Team. These are volunteers making adventures happen for the EC community. They are not guides or instructors, just friendly folk who simply want to help make adventures happen. When on an EC CLUB microadventure, everyone is responsible for themselves and each others safety as a group. And we need your help too - please come and join this adventure but also feel free to help out in organising it if you like, or even join the A-Team yourself.
