Powering the Adventure Revolution

The Best of Dorset Coast
Friday 25th - Sunday 27th January 2019

Spectacular walking adventure through the most iconic Dorset landscapes. Enjoy the famous Jurassic Coast without the crowds.

OVERVIEW

A weekend exploring the best scenery on the South Coast, expect stunning views and iconic landmarks including Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove

Our location couldn’t be better – we’ll be staying on the edge of a picturesque fishing village right next to Lulworth Cove. We’ll have miles of spectacular coastal walking right on our doorstep and comfortable accommodation to return to in the evenings. Lulworth cove is located on the on the famous Jurassic Coast which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site famed for its impressive geologic features and abundant fossils.

There will be guided walks each day straight from our door to explore the nearby coastline including dramatic rock arches, sweeping coves, towering cliffs and headlands. Add hearty home-cooked food and a lodge full of like-minded people and you've got a great start to the year.

EC adventures are informal, friendly and great fun! They're made up of singles, couples and small sets of friends with ages typically ranging from mid 20s to mid 40s but anyone over 18 years old and young at heart is welcome. Whether it's your first time exploring the outdoors or you're an adventure professional, EC adventures are a great way to meet like-minded people in a safe, welcoming and fun environment.

ITINERARY

On Saturday and Sunday we will head out for the day for guided walks in the local area with a qualified and experienced walk leader. The coastline in the area is spectacular and unusually uncrowded in January. On Sunday there may be full and half day options and will depend on group preferences - you might want to spend more time exploring the coast or head inland for views of countryside and castles.

ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND DRINK

We have our own lodge at the edge of a fishing village and short (10mins) walk from Lulworth Cove itself. Sleeping arrangements will be in shared rooms with adult sized bunk beds. All bed linen is provided but you will need to bring a towel.

A tasty cooked breakfast will be provided on both mornings as well as dinner on Saturday. As people will arrive at different times on the Friday, please eat en-route or bring your dinner if you'd rather use the self catering kitchen.

DIFFICULTY LEVEL

The coastal path goes up and down and there are some steep bits with cliffside views so if you suffer from severe vertigo this may not be suitable for you. The walks are suitable for anyone and you don't need any previous hiking experience.
