Eastern Horizons: Hitchhiking the Silk Road
This month we have TEN copies of Levison Wood's new best seller plus a pair of tickets for 'An Evening With Levison Wood' to give away!
Levison Wood was only 22 when he decided to hitch-hike from England to India through Russia, Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan, but he wasn't the conventional follower of the hippy trail. A fascination with the deeds of the early explorers, a history degree in the bag, an army career already planned and a shoestring budget of £750 - including for the flight home - he was determined to find out more about the countries of the Caucasus and beyond - and meet the people who lived and worked there.
EASTERN HORIZONS is a true traveller's tale in the tradition of the best of the genre, populated by a cast of eccentric characters; from mujahideen fighters to the Russian mafia. Along the way he meets some people who showed great hospitality, while others would rather have murdered him.

September - The Pants Of Perspective!
We're celebrating Anna McNuff's 3000km running adventure through the wilds of New Zealand. We've got two copies of the book to give away as well as a pair of the fabulous leggings!
Travelling alone through New Zealand's backcountry for 148 days, she scrambled through forests, along ridge-lines, over mountain passes, along beaches and across swollen rivers. Running up to 52 kilometres in a day, she slept wild most nights, and was taken into the homes and hearts of the kiwi people in between.
The Pants of Perspective is a witty, colourful and at times painfully raw account of a journey to the edge of what a woman believes herself to be capable of. For anyone who has ever dreamt of taking on a great challenge but felt too afraid to begin – this story is for you.
We're giving away two prizes. The winner will receive a copy of Anna's book along with a pair of her fabulous leggings and the runner-up will receive a copy of the book.
